We had Happy Hour drinks and food at the Saltgrass Steakhouse on the seawall. The crabcakes were excellent!! Karla was our server and did a fantastic job.
I had the New York steak. It was cooked perfectly. I'd share a photo but there's nothing left. The Brussels sprouts were also very tasty. We had a nice view of the ocean. Our server Camilo was super friendly and attentive.
We had BB as our wait staff and she was awesome. Ask for her. Food was great steaks cooked perfect. Get the T bone it won't disappoint.
This is a very popular steakhouse in Galveston, I highly recommend a reservation. We didn't have one so we waited about 30-45 minutes for a table on a Friday night around 6 PM. We'll work the wait... big, good quality steaks chargrilled to your liking. My daughter & I split a 12 oz. NY steak with a side of sweet potato fries, and our choice of salad, we got the Caesar. We also had a side of brussel sprouts & a baked sweet potato. Dinner is also served with a round of sweet, brown bread that comes to the table warm. Rustic decor, just what you would want in a Texas Steak House, looked busy with locals & tourists alike. They have a lot of variety on the menu...ribs, chicken fried steak as well as seafood items to add on or order as entrees. We were so full from all the sides we ordered...no room for dessert!
The beach is just across the street so it has beautiful scenery! Blanca was so kind and welcoming and very helpful with all our questions. Definitely stop by! 10/10

My husband and I recently stayed in Galveston for one night before a cruise. Saltgrass Steak House was across the street from our hotel, so we walked there for dinner. My husband's ribeye was delicious! The baked potato came with all of the fixings. I had chicken tortilla soup and a garden salad. The salad was huge and delicious! The bread was so good. Glad we had such a great meal before our cruise!
Was in the mood for steak and found Saltgrass. Definitely a steak house but what we loved was the early bird dinners for under $25. We chose two rib eyes with fried greenbeans and mashed potatoes. OMG! Perfectly cooked steaks nd seasoned that we were able to eat entirely, no gristle and very flavorful fat. Came with sizable salads and bread. Green beans were lightly fried and the mashed were just the right amount. Also ordered the mushrooms to share...yummy Wonderful waitress who recommended the carrot cake for dessert! Huge and tasty, great frosting! Couldn't eat it all.
